The Little Mermaid

Posted by Wohnreich on

Far out at sea the water is as blue as the petals of the most beautiful cornflower and as clear as the purest glass. But it is very deep, deeper than any anchor rope can reach. Many church towers would have to be placed on top of each other to reach from the bottom to above the water. The merfolk live down there. But you must not believe that there is only bare white sand there, no, the strangest trees and plants grow there, with stems and leaves so supple that they move at the slightest movement of the water, just as if they were alive. All fish, small and large, slip through the branches, just like the birds up here in the air.
At the very deepest point lies the sea king's castle.
Hans Christian Andersen

Fairy tales are important. For small children as well as for big children.
Symbols. Images. Animals. Kings. Witches. Heroes.
Fairy tales stimulate our imagination and strengthen our self-confidence.
One of my personal favorite fairy tales for years has been The Little Mermaid.
And so it happens that you can currently admire, touch and buy a fabulous mermaid tail in the living area....

.....but this is actually only for small children.....but that doesn't matter, we adults still have the books....
Have a fabulous Sunday evening.
Nina.
