Easter
Posted by Wohnreich on
We all know that Easter is the annual commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But where does the term Easter actually come from?
From "Ostarum", the Old High German name for a spring festival? Or was it derived from the spring goddess "Ostara"? But perhaps the origin lies in the word "east", because the sun rises in this direction? I can't really find a definitive answer. I don't have to, because right now the Easter bunny, the size of a man, is hopping around in our garden hiding the hand-dyed eggs.

I wish you a wonderful spring awakening with many colorful surprises!
