School cone

Posted by Wohnreich on

Seven years ago, our oldest daughter received a school cone when she started school. She stood there, proud and beaming, our eldest. With happy grandparents, who had traveled all the way from the far north.

But where does the school cone actually come from?

Over 150 years ago, children in Germany were told that there was a school cone tree in the teacher's house. When they were "mature," the children would be big enough for school.

This custom is still practiced in Germany today.
The bags are usually filled with sweets and small gifts.
Now available at Wohnreich, school cones for that special day.

I wish all prospective first graders an unforgettable day!
