The Easter bunny has already been busy hopping around and hiding the colorful, hand-dyed Easter eggs, which are now waiting to be discovered and collected.
But the Easter Bunny is not known everywhere.
If you look across the border, you will discover other countries with completely different customs.
In Sweden, for example, the Easter Bunny is not really known. In the north, children dress up as Easter bunnies on Maundy Thursday and go from house to house asking for sweets, while at home they decorate their rooms with branches, feathers and Easter eggs.
In Bulgaria, Easter eggs are thrown away! The eggs are not hidden, but thrown at a family member or against the church wall.
In Italy people eat Colomba Pasquale, a sweet cake, usually in the shape of a dove, which symbolizes peace.
But no matter what customs, Easter is a celebration of joy worldwide.
And so it doesn't matter which country or origin, I wish you all a peaceful and joyful Easter Sunday...
...with one or two colorful Easter eggs.
