The Lotta

I like Lotta.
Our friendship has lasted for thirty years.
We are deeply connected.
Lotta has experienced countless moves.
Countless times she filled my evenings with her experiences.
She held the fort in my room on both healthy and sick days and even accompanied me on vacation.
Lotta was created by Astrid Lindgren. Lotta is a four-year-old girl who lives on Krachmacherstrasse. She is imaginative, funny, sometimes sad and really angry, but mostly happy and incredibly brave. Lotta has two older siblings and lots of adventures to tell.
"Of course, Lotta can ride a bike," my book, which can still be found in my room today. She's gotten a bit old, my Lotta, yes. But her stories live on where they never ended: in the hands of children.
