Autumn
Posted by Wohnreich on
It seems to me as if it came quite suddenly.
The autumn.
Fluffy clouds, pushed by gusts of wind, move quickly across the sky.
Leaves change color and soon present a wonderful play of colors.
The garden rests under a damp blanket in the morning.
The birds are preparing to fly south.
The last late fruits are harvested and processed.
The air smells different. Earthier, perhaps.
The seasons actually determine our rhythm of life. And so we swap fins, the beach and ice cream for warm shoes, the forest and bread on sticks.
Here is an easy-to-prepare recipe for stick bread:
* 250 ml warm milk (can also use water)
* 1 pack of dry yeast or 15 g fresh yeast
* 500 g flour
* 1 tsp sugar
* 1 tsp sea salt
Mix all ingredients together and knead well.
Let rest in a cool place for at least 30 minutes.
If you like, you can also add half a handful of dried tomatoes and olives.
The mixture can also be used as pan bread. Form small flatbreads and fry them in a pan with a little butter for 6 minutes.
I wish you a wonderful start to autumn!
