Back then, during the years at sea, it was of great importance.
Today, on land, it is still of great importance.
The weather.
If I had been born a weather fairy, there would certainly be blue skies and sunshine 365 days a year, with temperatures a pleasant 30°C.
But then I couldn’t use the three beautiful words here:
"Gone with the Wind"
And there would be no original weather station from Bloomingville.
So it's a good thing that it can be stormy or even frosty.
