Easter customs

How do you celebrate Easter?
There are many different Easter traditions.
Depending on the region and religion, different activities are celebrated.
For example, there is the Easter lamb, the Easter water, Easter riding, the Easter fire, the Easter candle, or what we do, looking for Easter eggs.
But the eggs you are looking for must first be produced.
We're trying something different this year.
According to Sorbian tradition, we paint the eggs with wax and then dip them in paint.
I find the meaning of the patterns interesting.
The pine branch stands for health.
Offset triangles symbolize the industriousness of bees. The dots and circles are meant to protect people, animals and the farm from demons.
We therefore have a truly healthy and busy year ahead of us.
BUT after so much hard work and creativity, I also get out my beloved quail eggs. They are a must for my annual, very simple Easter decorations.
