Certain things are so strongly associated with a time that they become timeless. This certainly applies to the String shelf system that Nils Strinning designed in 1949. It may seem strange that something as simple and inconspicuous as this small, delicate and light shelf with its thin wire frame could become a design classic of the 20th century.

There are many reasons for this: the slim packaging is easy and inexpensive to transport and the shelf can be assembled straight away. The individual shelves can be moved quickly. Shelves of different depths can be combined and the frame provides support for the books. The shelf is also stable and can be extended in all directions. Whether the wall area is large or small, String always fits!

The modules are each available in two widths and/or sizes.
