We bake our dream house
Posted by Wohnreich on
Every year we make our own gingerbread house.
Yes, I am an avowed IKEA gingerbread house lover.
So yesterday I was looking for my miracle pack in the Swedish house.
I was deeply shocked when the saleswoman sympathetically told me that they were all sold out.
For those who don't know this miracle package, the contents promise a beautiful gingerbread house in no time.
To everyone else,...
The snow is falling quietly...

The wind blows in the winter forest
the flock of flakes like a shepherd,
and some fir trees sense how soon
she becomes pious and holy, and listens out.
She stretches her branches out to the white paths -
ready, and defends the wind
grows towards the one night of glory.

I must admit that until today I was not really in the Advent spirit.
BUT, on the 1st Sunday of Advent...
Once to Lapland and back
Posted by Wohnreich on
I could cross Lapland sometime.
On a sleigh.
Pulled by reindeer.
Lapland is the name given to the area north of the Arctic Circle.
Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Russian Kola Peninsula.

You’re My Star!

The stars.
In the sky.
On clothes.
On flags.
On bags.
On the internet.
In the coffee.
The stars, they are everywhere!
The shining celestial bodies are more popular than ever.
These days, they decorate everything that can be printed, applied or stamped.
Children and stars, look here:
Children and stars, look more.
Coming soon to Wohnreich:
You’re My Star!

Maileg enchants young and old
Posted by Wohnreich on
Some know it.
Maileg is one of my top favorites.
Whether it's the spring or fall collection, the Danish company always manages to inspire me.
Copied countless times, no one can match the uniqueness of Maileg.
The chosen combinations of fabrics, shapes and colors make the label exceptional.
This season my heart belongs to the angels.
Aren't they adorable?
