Lucia Festival

Today the Swedes celebrate the feast of Saint Lucia.
On December 13th, the girls wear white robes and burning candles.
The eldest daughter dresses up as “Lucia”.
She wears a red bow around her stomach over her white dress. She balances a wreath with burning candles on her head.
Saint Lucia, so the story goes, helped poor, needy people. She provided for them...

No, that is not my evening Advent greeting.


This greeting reached humanity on Christmas Eve 1968 from Apollo 8.
The crew of the space capsule were the first people to reach the far side of the moon and also the first people to spend Christmas in space.

Today is the 2nd Advent.


When I look out the window, I feel like I'm in the depths of winter.
It lies there so beautifully, the almost enchanted winter landscape.


When I let my gaze wander through my interior again, reality immediately brings me back.
